The Smooth and the Striated (2 July – 1 August 2010) took place within the framework of the Third International Deleuze Studies Conference. The exhibition was situated at two disparate sites in the city of Amsterdam: Huize Frankendael, a seventeenth century country house in the East of Amsterdam, and Nieuw Dakota, a former metal workshop on the NDSM-wharf in the North. The participating artists presented work on both locations. Here an overview of the exhibited works by Tom Tlalim, Sjoerd Westbroek, Saskia Noor van Imhoff, Jamijn Visser, Krien Clevis, Pieter Paul Pothoven and Persijn Broersen & Margit Lukács.
The third annual International Deleuze Studies conference (Amsterdam 12-14 July 2010) explored how the three domains of thought – art, science and philosophy – connect, continue and create together.
