On 22 November 2013 a moving presentation of the three volume universal dictionnary of creating women: Le Dictionnaire Universel des Femmes Créatrices, published by the legendary Editions des Femmes in Paris, founded forty years ago by Antoinette Fouque. The presentation took place at the UNESCO building in Paris and was honored by the presence of countless 'grandes dames' of French cinema and music such as Catherine Deneuve, Emmanuelle Riva, Juliette Greco, Lio, Nicole Garcia and Marina Vlady. See here for more and better pictures. The waiting is for the English translation and an online edition, both on their way. Here is information in French about the project. And in the mean time here is my contribution for the entree about women directors in the Netherlands in English (publication in French in the first volume of the dictionnary).
